As the situation around the Coronavirus evolves with the number of infections and deaths continuing to rise, our priority as Distell – right now and always – is the safety and well-being of our employees and that of our customers.
We also continue to closely monitor guidelines and recommendations provided by the global health authority (WHO) including those from our very own government – which earlier this week, announced restrictions on gatherings of more than 100 people.
This safety approach, in particular, limiting people contact to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus, is consistent with ours, where we have adopted strict social distance rules (1,5m), including prohibiting our employees from participating in events, meetings, social gatherings, training sessions, among others, with 15 or more people.
In light of the above, we regret to inform you that Alto will be closed temporarily, until further notice.
This decision reflects our foremost priority – the health and safety of our employees including that of our customers.
As you can imagine, this was a very difficult and regrettable decision to take, particularly at such short notice, and while sharing your disappointment for the temporary closure, we believe this was an entirely necessary step given the rapidly evolving health situation and our efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
We trust that you will appreciate the spirit and context in which this decision was taken.
Thank you for your continued support.
