red wine only estate and home to the iconic Alto Rouge red blend.

TASTE OUR WINES

Our tasting room is currently situated at KleinAlto, located about 100m from Alto Wine Estate on Bonte Rivier Vineyards (formerly Bilton Wines).

This will be our home away from home while our estate undergoes extensive renovations for the next couple of years.

Enjoy the Alto tasting experience inside the historic cellar building, Atrium or outside on our deck seating with panoramic views of the Helderberg Mountain.

To accompany our wine tasting we offer a biltong & wine pairing, smoked cheese and wine pairing as well as a selection of platters.

Heritage

THE DECANTER ROOM

The Decanter Room at Klein Alto, an intimate new space dedicated to the heritage and craftsmanship that have shaped Alto through the generations.

Journey through the Alto story and discover the winemakers who have helped shape our estate into what it is today. Enjoy a specially selected tasting of older and current vintages, with the selection changing each month, or choose an old and rare bottle from our collection to savour with your dining experience at KleinAlto.

Bookings are available from Thursday to Sunday and require 24 hour notice.

Our wine tasting experience in situated on Klein Alto, Bonte Rivier Vineyards, Stellenbosch.

Monday: Closed

Tuesday to Sunday: 10h00 – 17h00

We are regrettably closed on Good Friday, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
