WINE TASTING

Situated high on the slopes of the imposing Helderberg Mountain in the Stellenbosch Winelands, you will find South Africa’s oldest
red wine only estate and home to the iconic Alto Rouge red blend. We focus on red wine varietals only,
making sure each wine is crafted to perfection. Our portfolio consists of 5 wines; our Alto Rouge, single
varietal Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, our Flagship Estate
Blend and limited release M.P.H.S.

Tasting

TASTE OUR WINES

Our tasting room is currently situated at Klein Alto, located about 100m from Alto Wine Estate on Bonte Rivier Vineyards (formerly Bilton Wines).

This will be our home away from home while our estate undergoes extensive renovations for the next couple of years.

Enjoy the Alto tasting experience inside the historic cellar building, Atrium or outside on our deck seating with panoramic views of the Helderberg Mountain.

To accompany our wine tasting we offer a biltong & wine pairing, smoked cheese and wine pairing as well as a selection of platters.
